Cuties, coats & hats at Convict Lake

I am sure one day I will look back at this post and smile to myself...this is my first blog post ever.  It has arrived with many requests, much encouragement and assistance.  Thank you all!

Snoozy Boof is the latest addition to our family, he arrived November 6, 2011.  He is adored by his parents and two sisters Lovey Dove and Bebe.  I spent three weeks with my daughter and her family upon his arrival.  I began missing them all the moment we started our good byes.  I love you all!

There was a lot of crocheting and sewing going on during my visit.  My daughter made this A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E Hello Kitty hat for Lovey.  Snoozy and Bebe are wearing ear flap hats I made from a pattern I purchased from Baca Creations.  It is the Amelia Ear Flap hat and can also be purchased on Ravelry.

Another project I completed during my visit is Lovey's coat.  I want to thank my friend Karen for her wonderful patterns.  Lovey's coat is a combination of Karen's 'Stylish Double Breasted Coat' with the hood from her 'Unisex Hooded Jacket.'  http://www.etsy.com/shop/dmkeasywear  Both of the girls coats were made using Robert Kaufman's 'Cool Cords' collection with an inner lining of 'Warm and Natural' cotton batting.  I regret I no longer have the pattern information for Bebe's coat.  It has the cutest pixie hood.

In a home filled with little girl things I thought Snoozy need a real 'boy' blanket to call his own.  The plaid was purchased at a thrift shop in Bishop, California called "Over Flowed Blessings."  It is filled with any and everything for sewing.  I recommend you stop in if you are ever in Bishop...you will be in for a BIG surprise.  PLUS all donations go to benefit the local hospital.
